Applying Scalp Treatments to Short Hair and Buzz Cuts

Working with an Exposed Scalp
If you have a buzz cut, a pixie cut, or very short hair, you have a distinct advantage in scalp care: more of your scalp may be easy to reach. You do not need to spend time carefully sectioning your hair with combs or clips to reach the skin. However, this high level of exposure presents a different challenge when using the No01 Anchoring Mist or the No02 Flourishing Elixir: the risk of the product running down your forehead or getting into your eyes.
Adjusting Your Technique
Without thick hair to catch excess liquid, you must be far more precise with your dosage.
Applying the No01 Mist
The No01 Mist is a fluid, aqua and ethanol-based formula. Because your scalp is fully exposed, a direct spray from close range can cause the liquid to pool and run.
- Keep Your Distance: Follow the bottle directions and keep the spray aimed away from your face to allow the mist to disperse into a fine layer before it hits your skin.
- The Fingertip Method: To reduce runoff toward your eyes, do not spray it directly onto your head. Instead, apply a small amount directly into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, and then press your palms and fingertips firmly over your dry scalp.
Applying the No02 Elixir
The No02 Elixir is a grapeseed oil-based formula. Using the dropper directly on a buzz cut can make it harder to control the amount.
- Ensure your scalp is clean and completely dry after washing.
- Dispense a small amount of the elixir onto your clean fingertips.
- Gently massage the oil into the scalp using circular motions. Keep the amount small and avoid letting it run toward your face.
