Managing Scalp Care in Humid and Sweaty Weather

Adapting to High Humidity
When the weather turns hot and humid, your scalp naturally produces more sweat and oils. If you rely on J.N HERBACEOUS leave-in treatments, humid days require a slight adjustment to your routine. The key is understanding that neither the No01 Mist nor the No02 Elixir are formulated to combat or absorb sweat.
The Rule for No01 Anchoring Mist
The No01 Anchoring Mist provides a light-textured botanical touchpoint, but it is not an antiperspirant or an oil-absorbing dry shampoo. Spraying it directly onto a damp, sweaty scalp will not make you feel cleaner; it will simply layer liquid over sweat.
The Fix: If you want to use the No01 Mist on a humid day, you must dry your scalp first. Step into an air-conditioned room, use a towel to gently blot the sweat from your roots, or use the cool setting on a blow dryer. Once your scalp skin is dry to the touch, you can section your hair and apply the mist.
The Rule for No02 Flourishing Elixir
High humidity does not change the core requirement for the No02 Flourishing Elixir: it must always be applied to a clean, dry scalp directly after washing.
The Fix: If your scalp is greasy and heavily sweating from the weather, it is time for a thorough cleanse. Wash your hair, dry your scalp completely, and then proceed with your No02 massage. Because No02 is a grapeseed oil base, applying it carefully to the skin rather than the hair strands helps limit how much oil reaches the strands.
