Temperature Fluctuations: Traveling with Botanical Products

Protecting Your Botanical Formulas on the Go
When packing your bags for a trip, taking your botanical scalp care along allows you to maintain your routine away from home. However, traveling often exposes your luggage to environmental shifts. Managing these temperature changes helps maintain the integrity of your products.
Handling the No02 Elixir
The No02 Flourishing Elixir is formulated with a natural grapeseed oil base. Like many plant-based oils, it responds to its environment.
- Avoid Extreme Heat: The most important rule when traveling is to keep the glass bottle out of direct, prolonged heat. Do not leave the elixir sitting in a hot, parked car for hours, and avoid placing it in direct sunlight on a windowsill.
- Packing Placement: When flying or driving, keep the bottle in a standard toiletry bag within the climate-controlled cabin of the car, or securely packed in your luggage.
- Check the Label: Always refer to the product label for standard storage instructions, which generally advise keeping the product in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
Traveling with Cold Process Soaps
If you are bringing the No03 Nourishing Soap or No04 Ink Jade Soap, the aluminum travel tin provided is highly convenient, but it requires one strict rule:
Never pack a wet soap. The tin is for dry transport only. Do not attempt to air-dry a wet soap inside the tin or inside a closed travel bag. When you finish using the soap on your trip, you must allow it to dry completely in the open air before placing it back into the tin and closing the lid. Blotting with a clean towel can remove surface water, but allow the bar to finish drying before sealing it in the tin.
