Transitioning to an All-in-One Botanical Bar Soap

Simplifying Your Wash Routine

Moving away from a shower shelf crowded with various plastic bottles toward a single, multi-use botanical soap is a great way to simplify your life. Both the No03 Nourishing and No04 Ink Jade cold process bars are intended for use on the face, body, and hair. However, you do not need to throw away all your current liquid products on day one.

A Gradual Trial Strategy

Cold process soaps feel different from synthetic liquid washes. Different formulas have different lather and rinse-off feels. To decide if this minimalist approach is right for you, we recommend a phased transition:

  1. Phase 1: Hands and Body. Start by using the botanical bar exclusively as a hand soap and body wash. This allows you to get accustomed to the lathering technique and the earthy "Wet Moss & Aged Cedar" scent.
  2. Phase 2: The Face. Once you are comfortable with how the soap feels on your body, try replacing your facial cleanser. Notice how your facial skin feels after patting it dry. If you have drier skin, you may find the No03 bar suits your face better, while the No04 bar handles body cleansing.
  3. Phase 3: The Hair (Optional). Washing hair with a cold process bar may feel different from your current shampoo; there is no need to keep using it if it feels uncomfortable. Only attempt this step if you are genuinely interested in eliminating standard liquid shampoo.

Keep What Works for You

The goal is a routine that feels comfortable and sustainable. If you decide you love the botanical bar for your face and body but prefer to keep your traditional liquid shampoo for your hair, that is a perfectly valid decision. Let your own tactile experience dictate the final setup of your bathroom.
