Troubleshooting Scalp Mist: How to Stop Spraying Your Hair
Published
The Goal is the Skin, Not the Strands
The No01 Anchoring Mist is an aqua and ethanol-based formula designed strictly for your scalp. A common frustration when first using a liquid mist is realizing that most of the spray is catching on your hair strands rather than reaching the skin. If your hair feels wet but your scalp feels untouched, the issue is your nozzle targeting.
Step 1: Check Your Distance
Holding the bottle too close to your head creates a concentrated puddle of liquid that instantly soaks the hair at the root. Holding it too far away disperses the mist so widely that it lands on your lengths. Follow the bottle directions and adjust the position so the spray reaches the exposed part without running toward your face.
Step 2: Adjust the Spray Angle
The angle of the bottle is crucial. Do not spray perpendicular (at a 90-degree angle) to your part line, as the mist will hit the walls of hair on either side of the part.
- Part your hair clearly to expose a line of dry scalp.
- Tilt the bottle so the nozzle is pointing down the line of the part, almost parallel to your head.
- Use a short, controlled spritz. This directs the mist along the skin corridor rather than across the hair barriers.
Step 3: The Fingertip Alternative
If you are spraying near your hairline or simply cannot get the angle right without risking getting the mist in your eyes, stop using the nozzle directly on your head. Spray the No01 Mist in a small amount directly into the palm of your hand, rub your fingertips in the liquid, and press them firmly against your dry scalp. This can make placement easier to control.
